MD Solutions International (MDSI) provides integrated solutions for corporate and public access defibrillation programs to ensure an organization’s “Time Zero”® readiness response to sudden cardiac arrest. Our company was one of the first national providers of medical oversight establishing a national physician network in 1997.
Our experienced team of healthcare and service professionals have decades of knowledge in the industry, with a deep understanding of how to manage state regulatory requirements, program implementation, and maintain a successful defibrillation environment. We remain a leader in the resuscitation industry that includes partnerships with AED manufactures, distributors, sudden cardiac arrest organizations, fortune 500 companies and a focus for the personal use market.

Ann Jarris, MD, MBA, FACEP

Dr. Ann Jarris is the Chief Executive Officer of MDSI. She is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician in Seattle and CEO of Discovery Health MD, a medical services company for the commercial maritime industry.
Dr. Jarris received her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College. She attended medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Arizona. She has practiced as an Emergency Medicine physician for over fifteen years, with experience in rural and remote settings. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She received her Masters of Business Administration at Seattle University.

Sally Wooton R.N., Alumnus CCRN

Sally Wooton is the Chief Operation Officer at MDSI and is recognized as a leader in AED program management and services. She has more than 25 years of experience as a critical care nurse, emergency cardiac care instructor and consultant. Prior to joining MDSI, Sally was a Sr. Clinical Specialist for Philips Healthcare Emergency Care and Resuscitation division, providing implementation support and clinical consultation for community, corporate, and hospital early defibrillation programs involving AEDs.
She was also co-owner of Pacific Rim Healthcare Consultants, an occupational safety and health training company. Sally has served in a variety of American Heart Association committees, taskforce positions and BLS/ACLS Instructor teaching CPR, AED and emergency response to lay, EMS and hospital responders.

Company History – Founded in 1996 by Ray Jarris, Jr. MD, MA, FAAFP

Dr. Ray Jarris was a family and emergency medicine physician with a passion and vision for improving health and saving lives. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Ray founded companies that provided medical support to remote worksites. As a pioneer in maritime medicine, he saw how medical technology could be successfully used by those with limited medical training outside a medical environment and recognized the opportunity to bring these life-saving solutions to a greater audience. Ray realized early on the profound benefits of pre-hospital early defibrillation and the impact it would have on survival from Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
To honor Ray’s deep roots in the Maritime Industry he was honored, at his passing in 2018, with a memory tile at the Seattle Fisherman’s Memorial.

Tina Dawson

Tina Dawson is a customer support specialist with 8 years of experience delivering exceptional service and operational support. She brings a strong foundation in employee relations and organizational support. Throughout her career, Tina has developed expertise in maintaining and managing databases, processing and tracking sales orders, and conducting thorough spreadsheet reviews to ensure data accuracy and workflow efficiency.
In addition to her customer-focused expertise, Tina has 10 years of experience in Human Resources, enhancing her ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and support both clients and internal teams.

Charlie Butterfield

Charlie Butterfield brings over 20 years of hands-on clinical and operational healthcare experience, with a strong background in emergency medicine and regulatory compliance. He served 5 years as a U.S. Army medic, followed by 15 years as an Emergency Room Technician, including 9 years specializing as a trauma tech.

Over the past several years, Charlie has focused on medical compliance, training, and controlled medication management. He has 2 years of experience supporting compliance and training initiatives and an additional 2 years managing controlled medication administration across diverse maritime environments, including fishing fleets, container ships, oil tankers, and tugboats.

Charlie combines clinical expertise with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient medication practices. Outside of work, he is a proud father of two daughters.
